Studio Space

{BEFORE}

Very exciting news...

Starting March 1st we will be working on our new studio space by the Grove Park Inn!!  We are so very excited to have a studio.  For the past year our studio has been...well...clients homes, parks and such.  We will still do most of our work On-Location.  Now we will be able to photograph birth through six months in the studio if desired and we will have a place for our planning and order sessions!  I will post photos while we are working on the space and also final images. 

On the other side of Eden Photography is The Rainbow Well.  This is a SUPER cool business for children's art therapy and parenting help.  Check out their website!!

The Spa

Yesterday I had the most relaxing day of my ENTIRE life.  I took my mom to the Grove Park Inn Spa!!!  Ladies, this is a must do!!  I have never been someplace to beautiful and relaxing.  It made me remember how important the little things are in life.  The Spa made sure every little detail was taken care of.  Everything from hair ties to wine.  They had yummy trail mix and tea...when you are there, you are in need of nothing.  It was a great time to reconnect with myself as well as my mom, the most influential women in my life.  She is full of wisdom and I had the opportunity to bask in it yesterday.  We also had some good laughs!  I just hope that one day I can be as good of a friend to my daughter as my mother is to me.

Conversation between Quinn and myself while Quinn was "nursing" her "Brown Baby".

Quinn- "I am breast feeding my baby"

Asher- (Thinking, oh my gosh, my 3 year old just said "breast".  HA!) "Yeah, I see that.  You are going to be such a good mommy one day."

Quinn- "Just like you!"

Another conversation...

Asher- "Guess what! We are going to Indiana in a couple months to see Aunt Allie for her baby shower."

Quinn- (gasp) "oh yeah...and my friends?!?"

Asher- "Yeah, and maybe we can go to the zoo, or the children's museum!"

Quinn- "Wellll, we already went to the zoo with Aria and Jaden and who is that other little guy?"

Asher- "Zion."

Quinn- "Yeah!  And Zion...so we don't need to go there again."

Asher- "Ha ha! OK, I won't force you to go to the zoo twice...heaven forbid! :)"

New Dawn.

I went into New Dawn Midwifery the other day (the best midwives in town if you ask me...I chose them when I was pregnant) to check on some of my work I have hanging there and to see if they needed anything.  While I was in there I was informed my work had been on the news a little while back.  What?!?  So funny how that happened and I was not even aware.  They did not feature my name but did up close shots of my work.  Kinda fun!  Check out this link HERE to see the news clip.  It is also a good little clip just telling about some new possible breakthroughs for midwives!

Electronics...who needs them? Oh, I do!!

So, in attempt to be more connected with the world and more "together" I have purchased a BlackBerry. I must say, I haaate learning new things when they pertain to electronics. So I sit here frustrated now as I try to figure out this little device that is smarter than I am... maybe one day I will be queen of my BlackBerry and find it useful! 

On another note, we here at Eden Photography are always trying to better your EXPERIENCE with us so we invested in some expensive electronics to help with our order session. I cannot really describe them to you YET, but one day when I figure them out my husband and photography mentor have assured me they will be WONDERFUL! We'll see. But between you and me, I think it would be great if one day I woke up and *BAMM* was an electronic genius!

Growing Young Cafe

As a BIG supporter of locally owned businesses I thought I would give a shout out to this semi-new little cafe called Growing Young.  This is a great little place to go grab a cup of coffee, (or your drink of choice) let your little one play and kick your feet up.  They even have free wireless internet!  So, next time you need a place to meet your gal pals to chit-chat and let the kids play- think of Growing Young Cafe.  (Hey, that last little sentence would make a good tag line...)

Today is THE day!!

"The day for what?!?" you might ask.

The day I start to journal again. I have been putting it off and putting it off and today I decided I just need to jump back into cyber world. I was going to make my New Years resolution to JOURNAL OFTEN but, like some people put off working out, I just decided I would do it later. So, today my online journal and I are rekindling our relationship and getting to know each other once more.

So now I ask, is anyone out there?? Does anyone even read this anymore??

Stay tuned because this coming week A.Bryan Photography will be doing some work on my blog to make it more reader friendly and then we will have an AWESOME contest! "Awesome" might be an understatement (if that is possible)...this is going to be good so stay tuned.

I thought I would leave you with a photograph I took of my daughter, Quinn during our Christmas card photography session. She is saying, "Are we done taking pictures mommy??". This was only 5 minutes after we started. "Bless her heart" as they say here in the south. :)
